Chef Eero Vottonen is from Finland. He won the 2012 contest for Finnish Chef of the Year and finished sixth while representing Finland in the 2016–2017 Bocuse d'Or international chef competition. In the 2016 World Chefs Association Global Chef Competition, he took home the gold medal. He was selected as the 2017 Chef of the Year by Finnish chefs. He belonged to the elite group in the national kitchen of Finland.
