Very good bakery. Fresh deserts with a lot of taste. The cinnamon bun was lovely. Very walm welcome and service. A few tables are available inside. Biscuits to bring back can be bought there. Prices are totaly correct. Parking is not free though.

Runeberg cake was too dry 😟 Should be moist… We have tested 5 brands now, and surprisingly a cake from a big brand is the best so far…

The best bakery you’ll find in Finland

Delicious local pastries, including a lovely selection of rye flour pastries ( pumpkin, lingonberry, and savory options, too). Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, this place is hopping with local regulars. The only thing missing is good coffee to go with their excellent baked goods. Be sure to sit for a bit and read through the hardcover book of the bakery’s history.

I love the produce in this little kajaani bakery/cafe, the breads are tasty and the sweets are something that simply melts in your mouth, my recommendation: try the “tervaleipä” bread, one of their specialties(spoiler: it includes some tar(the sticky stuff), but tastes so good.)
