We went to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered the 7 courses menu and was really good, great experience, super nice service, delicious 🤤 It’s a must if you’re visiting or living in Vaasa.

It’s a nice place to have dinner with your colleagues and friends. Prices are affordable and food was delicious. The place was very cold. I personally think there should be heaters floating around tables to warm the area.

We went there for the tasting menu for 69€ which is a bit overpriced for the quality of food. The ingredients is all fresh and great but the pairing wasn’t there, very little taste in sauces to tie different the elements together. The theme was also very unclear. Cheese and desert was a big let down and the service was a bit slow and not to familiar with wines. All in all I would try it again but not the tasting menu, and I would hope that the single dish is better. The atmosphere was quite nice and set a nice vibe to the evening

Wonderful food, atmosphere and customer service! I had the GW7 tasting menu and it definitely exceeded my expectations. One of the main courses (reindeer fillet) that was served was particulary good, the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. I think the food was fairly priced considering the quality. I will certainly visit Gustav Wasa again and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who is looking for a fine dining experience!
