Amazing drinks 🍸The best sushi in town 😋I also ordered the chicken and got side plain rice. The food is just amazing and the overall atmosphere was superb 👌Overall all bill was 87€ overall

Considering the hype of the restaurant I was slightly disappointed. Karu should make up their mind whether they are going for fine dining or Izakaya. Most of the tasting menu dishes were delicious, so good in fact, that serving them with disposable chopsticks just felt wrong. Nigiri were great, but after reading the words “from the best ingredients” in the menu, I was expecting more than salmon. I also felt the staff’s knowledge of the Sake menu fell a little short. All and all the tasting menu was still worth the price.

I will get straight to the point: If I could, I would gladly to rate Karu 10 stars. We visited for a late dinner on a busy weekend night. The staff were all busy but they did their best at paying attention to the customers. They were so caring and sweet!At first I was a little bit skeptical since the vibe of the restaurant did not really match the “izakaya’s vibe” I had expected. It was more like a combination between fine dinning and izakaya to me. But it does not really matter that much. I mostly care about the food when I eat out and at Karu, I was not disappointed. I had the tasting menu and was surprised with the quality and flavour. Even my husband, who is extremely sensitive to raw fish’s smell, enjoyed the sashimis and nigiris with a happy face. Totally worth the price and definitely I would come back again when I visit Turku in the future.

Go for the menu, it’s worth your time and visit. Combined flavors and different types of foods one after another. I will come again just to do a double take on this as I am not sure if I can trust my senses

This was my second time at Karu, the food is so delicious! So far best sushi I have eaten in Turku. Ribs sauce tasted so good. Also nice variety of different drinks, I really liked “Yuzu” and old Riesling white wine. Service and staff is always so friendly and ready to help and give good recommendations from the menu. This is a place worth visiting (many times)!

The best sushi I’ve had in a long time! And the entrees were delicious too, particularly the snow crab bun, with a fresh addition of pineapple. Super good, also excellent sake and friendly staff

Amazing food combined with service that is fast, knows their stuff and works well overall. The food was very tasty and when we didn’t know something, the staff aided us by telling about it. The place itself is a bit small, but the tables are set up so that you have your own space. You can go here casually for a quick bite or spend a couple of hours. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Fried chicken was also very good! Positive experience all and all.
